adidas Adizero Adios Pro hijacks marathon podiums<\/h4>\n

In 2021, the adidas Adizero Adios Pro family accounted for the highest number of wins in the World Major Marathons, the most prestigious city marathons on the circuit. Also at the Olympics, adidas was showing off on the marathon stage. As icing on the cake, no fewer than seven world records were run off the tables with a shoe on which the famous “3-stripes” shone.<\/p>\n

2021 was a succesfull year for adidas, even though there was no mention of the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 yet. The only downside to the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3? The weight of the shoe has gone up by two mere grams over its predecessor. Feel free to call it negligible. You don’t feel it AND in return it provides a laundry list of benefits. More stability<\/h6>\n

The most striking improvement over the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2 is the wider base of the shoe. With this adjustment, adidas guarantees more stability. Indeed, the aggressive geometric shape of version two was perceived by some as unstable. Notable: put the best-known carbon shoes in a row and the Adizero Adios Pro 3 comes out as the carbon shoe with the widest base.<\/p>\n

Softer cushioning<\/h6>\n

In addition, both the middle and outsole were updated. In the forefoot, the extra cushioning provides a remarkably softer feel while running. The extra material in the forefoot has reduced the heel drop, the height difference between heel and toe, by two millimeters. Responsiveness remains<\/h6>\n

Typical of adidas are the five strong, bend-resistant carbon rods, called EnergyRods, found in the midsole. Though as of now you may refer to them as EnergyRods 2.0. The carbon rods are connected at the end for the first time, but can still move independently. Finally, there is the outsole. The outsole received an additional rubber injection that reduces wear and tear and makes the shoe last longer.<\/p>\n

The best way to judge a shoe? Testing him in his natural habitat. You don’t have to ask us twice. Our advisers and the athletes of the Runners’ lab Athletics Team participated in a five-kilometer road race.<\/p>\n

“The shoe seems rather unstable due to the cutout. While running, this premonition immediately disappeared. The adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 feels very stable. You also feel the push of the energetic foam on the one hand and the carbon plate on the other. With my narrow feet, I immediately noticed that the forefoot has become wider, but that does not bother me at all. I find it an ideal shoe for setting top times.”<\/p>\n

“I am very pleased with this fast, responsive carbon shoe. The notch, which should make you roll off more along your big toe, does its job. The EnergyRods that mimic the midfoot bones encourage a smooth roll-off and explosive push-off. I definitely recommend this shoe. One point of interest. Be sure to wear socks that are long enough.
